Homeless, and caring for his niece, Emma, fate brings Joseph into Colorado and baby Madeline’s life. Madeline is a sweetheart, and Colorado is trying his hardest to make the best decision for his baby girl. He offers his home and an indecent salary, to keep Joseph in his life until summer’s end. Colorado brings mysticism and metal to Joseph’s sanctuary of science, but somehow Joseph needs to tame this shooting star and create a family. Nothing in the contract said Joseph had to fall in love to make that happen, but when it’s time for him to leave, will the void in his heart ever heal, or will it remain as cold as space itself?
And then there's Joe. Oh how I love Joe. His scientific mind that is always working and calculating was something I didn't think could work well with Colorado. But damn, it does.
Their story includes some hot first times and plenty of beautiful extended family moments. Hell, I love the big family that is formed. It is just such a feel-good read.
These two are an absolutely fabulous couple. They both find what was missing from their lives in one another. Though you will find some passionate moments, this story is all about the emotions. The development of their relationship is the key to this tale.
The writing is simply beautiful. These two authors continue to create mesmerizing characters who ooze charm and love. The authors excel in combining the chaotic nature of Colorado's life and career with amazing moments of calmness, romance, and love. And then they continue to add in some entertaining side characters who add plenty to the tale.
School and Rock is perfectly wonderful. I love every single second of this RJ Scott and VL Locey book. If you've been reading this series throughout, you will fall in love with this book too. Be prepared to read it in one sitting. And if you haven't yet starting reading this series, what are you waiting for?
