Loving Logan
Writing Our Love Novella 4
Sammi Cee
M/M Contemporary Romance
Release Date: 06.26.20

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000039_00018]

Logan’s life changed forever six months ago when he lost his best friends and support system. Now it’s up to him to raise the two-year-old son they left behind.
Creed’s family teases him for being a serial dater, but that’s because he refuses to settle. He’s searching for the right person to fall in love with, but no one fits—until he meets the tattooed giant behind the bar.
Logan may look like a tough guy, but he has a shy, vulnerable side that sparks protective instincts Creed didn’t even know he had.
When Creed pursues Logan full stop, will the other man’s insecurities get in the way or will Creed get the love he’s always longed for?
This is a sweet-as-pie novella about two men and a precious little boy; no angst, just healing as they find their happily ever after— together.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Loving Logan is a sweet and tender romance. This Sammi Cee novella is part of the Writing Our Love series, but is easily read as a standalone.

Logan is a wonderfully dynamic man. He's big and tough looking with his tattoos. But he's anything but. After losing his best friends, he's now raising their 2 year old, Jakey.

Creed hasn't been in an openly gay relationship before, but he's smitten with the hot bartender and can't resist him. Cue all the feelings, as he's relentless in his pursuit, and he's wonderful with Jakey.

Seriously, Creed's interactions with Logan and Jakey will win your heart. He oozes self confidence and knows just how to win them over. It's genuine and completely loving.

The best part of this story is the character growth. Both men have their share of issues that are holding them back. But, with friendship, trust and love, both men change for the better.

Their relationship is heavy on the chemistry, with some hot talk and some sex toys. There's some tattoos and the most adorable child ever.

Written in alternating 1st person pov, the reader is brought into the men's emotions, completely feeling everything along with them. The characters are well developed, the pace is great, and the romance is just perfect.

Loving Logan is a beautiful story! You can't go wrong with this Sammi Cee tale that is 110 pages of sweetness. I couldn't devour it fast enough!

“You don’t have to. Bobby, the other bartender, is one of the best, and if he says he’s got it, he does. I’ll be heading out shortly.”

Creed—not that I’d needed him to introduce himself, I’d caught his name hours ago—shrugged his broad shoulders and eased onto the stool. “Well, humor me. You finish what you’re doing, and I’ll walk you out.”

To hide my confusion, I lifted my lips in my best customer service smile. “Okay, well, let me know if I can get you anything else.”

He waved me off with a grin, so I went about my business cleaning glasses, wiping down the bottles, and restocking things to make the rest of Bobby’s night smoother. The whole time, Creed’s fingers flew across the screen on his phone. Every now and then, he’d groan, but otherwise, he appeared content to just wait. But why? He’d spent a lot of the night standing at the end of the bar. Where others went back and forth from their table to get their drinks, or waited on the waitress, he’d hung out and chatted with whoever happened to walk up. Based on the conversations I’d overheard, socializing and shooting-the-breeze came easily to him. Honestly, it had made the whole night easier for me. People loved to chat up their bartenders, especially the evening crowd, and talking had never been my strong suit.

If I hadn’t overheard his brother and his men—which, how cool was that? A throuple—teasing him repeatedly through the night about how fast he went through women, I’d think maybe he’d stayed to hit on me. Since that didn’t seem to be likely, I had no idea why he patiently sat there, without actually speaking to me, playing on his phone. It seemed odd. I guessed him not staying to pick me up was actually a good thing. While Creed’s spectacular body next to most of his friends had been larger with muscle, my sheer body mass and height made me considerably bigger than him. In my experience, any man with a body that showed plenty of time spent in the gym, when they pursued me, they had only one thing in mind: get held down and fucked hard by the big tattooed guy. So not m—

“You okay over there? I’m pretty sure whatever spilled, you got it.”

Creed’s amused voice interrupted my ruminating, pulling me back into the present. I glanced up at him, confused.

He pointed to the broom in my hands. “You’ve been sweeping that same spot for about five minutes.”

“Oh.”My face heated with my embarrassment. “Sorry, I guess I got lost in my head.”

Creed set his phone down on the bartop. “Penny for your thoughts.”

Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.
These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - Life According to Liam by VL Locey

Buy Links: Amazon US | Amazon UK | Universal Link

Length: 40,000 words approx.

Cover Design: Meredith Russell

Blurb

There’s always that chance that your heart’s desire is one click away.

Someone needs to pinch web designer/humor blogger/Pittsburgh Ravens mega fan Mike Kneller. Hard. For years, Mike has been living his life for his younger sister Kelly and his four-year-old nephew Liam. He’d opened up his home to Kelly when she found herself pregnant at sixteen and facing having a baby alone. Sure, his days are filled with skinned knees, snotty noses, and the occasional mishap with stuffed superheroes, but he’s perfectly happy because he loves Liam as much as he loves his baby sister. Giving up a social life and going to bed alone is a small price to pay. Little does he know that someone on the Ravens is about to show Ravens goalie Bryn Mettler one of his vlog posts. Of course he’s not going to believe it when his phone rings and the world-famous netminder—and his goalie crush—is on the other end. I mean, life doesn’t work that way for ordinary, hardworking uncles like Mike. Does it?

Bryn Mettler is a superstar athlete and a major part of the Pittsburgh sports society. He seems to have it all. He’s well-dressed, handsome, wealthy, an elite goaltender, a famed philanthropist, and the holder of numerous medals and trophies. To date, there are two things that have avoided him: lifting that big shiny silver cup over his head and finding a man to settle down with. Now that he’s over thirty, Bryn is finding the gay club scene is wearing thin. His teammates’ wives have decided it’s their duty to the team—and to Bryn—to find him Mr. Right. He’s relatively sure the man who’ll capture his heart surely won’t be found on a humor blog. Funny how life likes to take the things that you’re most certain about and flip them—and you—on its ear. When Bryn meets Mike, he is instantly drawn to the warm, funny, sexy man who shares his hectic days with thousands of Pittsburgh natives. Now he just has to convince Mike he is who he says he is so he can get to know him better. Thankfully, Bryn isn’t a quitter. But does he have what it takes to leap into life with Mike, Kelly, and Liam?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

I love every single second of VL Locey's Life According to Liam.

Mike runs a blog called "Life According to Liam," highlighting fun things his four year old nephew says. Mike's a hockey fan who gets lucky when he meets hockey star Bryn Miller. After Mike writes a post about Bryn, the hockey star contacts him. It's a sweet story idea, and it's carried out perfectly.

Omg, this VL Locey tale is just wonderful; as charming as can be. I love it. Every single moment.

It's a great relationship between a famous athlete and an average man, who just so happens to live with his sister and her son. Can you say opposites attract?

Mike and Bryn
connect strongly from the start. They're super hot together, with some amazing chemistry. And yes, there's some amazingly hot rimming involved. I definitely enjoy that Bryn is out and proud, instead of being the typical closeted athlete.

There's some great humor, as the young Liam naturally inspires posts for Mike's blog. Liam is adorable. "When is a good time to talk about duck poop?" "I can only hold in the poop talk for so long!"

Personally, I found myself swooning over the fact that Bryn called Mike "Michael." I found it so darn tender and absolutely charming.

Life According to Liam is super sweet, insta-love romance, and a definite re-read for me. This no angst read is perfect when you're looking for a happy and easy read.

When the world labels a man and judges them blindly, is it possible to ever find love?

Firefighter Eric is on the front line, battling the threat of nature’s destruction in the California grasslands alongside his CalFire team. Focused and calm, even in the direst of situations, he has a strong affection for his fire truck, loves his career, and has best friends he can rely on. All he needs now is love, but that seems to be impossible to find. At his friend’s wedding. Eric falls in lust at first sight with the shy, slim and sexy Brady, even if Brady isn’t the type of guy he usually goes for. What Eric longs for is an equal in his bed, not a smaller guy who might want Eric to role-play big strong firefighter every time they have sex. He wants to find someone he can be vulnerable with, someone who will love him for his soft heart and quiet ways.

Brady’s life plans grind to a halt when his niece and nephew lose their parents in a tragic accident, and he becomes a dad overnight. His Developmental Coordination Disorder rules his life, but he fights both DCD and the fears that chase him every day, to give Maddie and Lucas a home. Agreeing to go to a friend’s wedding is a decision he regrets long before he even gets there. But, he refuses to give in to his fear, even if he might do something that makes him a target for people’s comments and laughter. Meeting Eric, a huge man with a gentle voice and a flair for chivalry, he falls hard. Now, if only he can let himself get past his panic that Eric would never want someone like him, then maybe he could fall in love for real.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

From the start, I knew Today would be a 5 star book. RJ Scott always welcomes me into her character's world in a soothing and pleasant way. I instantly felt like a family member to this crew of men.

Brady, oh poor Brady. He's so lovable, yet so afraid of his shadow. With Developmental Coordination Disorder, he lacks social skills, and struggles to find his way in the world. Caring for his niece and nephew, he also struggles with raising them. He's always on the outside, and still isn't comfortable being there.

And Eric, I just adore the way Eric reacts to the awkward Brady. Not only is he a great man, he is great with Brady. Brady and Eric are fantastic together, with chemistry is off the charts. They fall together quickly, as they naturally fit into one another's lives.

Theirs' is a story about loss, overcoming loss, and facing the fear of loss. It's a story of taking chances despite your past losses. It's about finding a man who shows you your strength, who gives you hope; of finding a man who sees beyond your weaknesses and loves you are you are.

This is my first time reading about Developmental Coordination Disorder, which is exactly as it sounds. It is fascinating to read about, both with it's physical effects and mental effects. It's written in a realistic manner, with knowledge, care, and compassion.

RJ Scott's Today is an extraordinary book. I loved every single moment and will definitely be re-reading this one. I can't wait to see what comes next in this superb series.

Review
My Rating - 4 Stars!

Winter's Promise is a fun Omegaverse romance by Giovanna Reaves.

Brought together by the death of Creed's brother and Winter's best friend, these two men discover they're fated mates.

Winter's devotion to baby Connor is commendable and just downright swoon worthy. But the connection between Winter and Creed is downright hot! These two are definitely a great couple who know how to sizzle.

Their story consists of guilt and grief, jealousy, hot sex and a mystery. The suspense is well developed, and definitely fun. I was kept guessing to the end.

I enjoy the talk of expectations and obligations; an alpha with a beta? I'm hoping this leads to a fun book in the series.

Overall, I enjoyed Winter's Promise and am excited to read more of this series by Giovanna Reaves.

Paramedic Aaron, the middle of five brothers, would like someone to love. A great believer in fate he is convinced though, that one day he’ll find someone. He just never thought it would be a man in so much pain, or that children would be part of the package.

Rob is ready to leave. Aaron wants him to stay. Their love has an expiry date, and it’s tearing them apart. Can they find a way to save what they have?

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

RJ Scott's Second Chance Ranch is the fifth book in the Montana series. It is a wonderful second chance romance, full of all the feels.

Rob arrives at Crooked Tree Ranch searching for some help from Justin. Rob's suddenly in charge of his niece and nephews, and needs help finding a good life for them. We slowly get to know Rob's motivations, and it certainly had me in big ugly tears. Meeting Aaron is definitely not something he expected, throwing a wrench into his plan.

Rob and Aaron are great from the start. Their relationship develops naturally, and just feels right. Their story is full of twists and turns that are fantastic. And snark. So much snark and banter, which I always love. I truly love these two as a couple.

Overall, this series is just wonderful. Full of different families, and many family members, everyone and everything is entwined and I love it all. And this book is certainly about family!

Second Chance Ranch is a story of fear, fear, and more fear. It's a tale about not giving up, and grabbing any chance you have at life. It will grab you, taking you along on a beautiful, emotional rollercoaster. Basically, RJ Scott has managed to wow me again.
