Noble (Tags of Honor #2) by Annabella Stone

Blurb

Red Squadron is the tip of the spear in the war against global terrorism. Navy SEAL Commander, Noble Bauer, leads the JASOC Taskforce and knows his team won’t be complete until he finds a Communications Specialist. He knows just the man for the job. The only problem is can he get him to listen. Damn it, why did the best man for the job have to be the one he left behind so long ago?
The last person Max Delgado expected to see while on an Undercover Op is the guy who left him high and dry after his life fell apart. The asshole who left him to pick up the pieces alone when his father was arrested for espionage, while he was still a teenager. Why the hell should he listen to a damn word Noble has to say now?
JASOC wants information they believe Max’s father holds. Max has always wanted answers. Can Noble keep his heart intact and his hands to himself, as he works with the one man guaranteed to make him crazy?

Annabella Stone's Noble, the second in her Tags Of Honor series, is everything I've come to expect from her books.

It's a great action/adventure tale, involving military men, and a whole lot of complicated people and details. Each of her books, both the Tags Of Honor series, and the Delta Force books, are full of twists and turns, romance, and hot, fit guys. And, even better yet, her Tags Of Honor books contain the men we love from Delta Force!

You like Navy Seals? Make sure to check out this series. Her writing style is great, with lots of serious danger that never overwhelms the reader.

Noble and Max are fantastic guys who are perfect together. They have some obstacles to overcome, but it's well worth all of it.

Noble is a compelling second chance romance. Annabella Stone weaves a - story of protecting those you love with separating a man from his family's actions. It's a fast read, as the flow moves quickly, and I loved it.

Coming Home (Finding Home, #2) by Carly Marie

Blurb

Ty Scott has spent most of his life trying to keep his best friend, Declan, strictly in the friend zone. It hasn’t been easy, especially sharing a condo with him for six years. But having an unattainable straight best friend in his life is better than losing that friendship altogether.

At 26, Declan Andrews is settled in his life. He’s been a Navy SEAL for eight years, rapidly climbing the ranks and doing everything he can to put as much space between him and his childhood. Being locked tightly in the closet is wearing him down, and seeing his best friend shamelessly flirting with a guy in a bar one night snaps something inside of him.

Will staying in the closet end up pushing Declan’s best friend, and the man he’s loved for most of his life, away for good? Will Ty’s sexy secret be too much for Declan to handle? Or will an on-the-job accident stop everything before it starts?

Coming Home is another fantastic book by Carly Marie.

As with At Home, I love Carly Marie's writing style. The story is compelling and the writing is great, with a fluid pace and a great story structure.

It's a tender tale of Declan who's struggling with his sexuality. He's one seriously messed up guy, completely insecure and unsure of who he really is. He grew up with religious, homophobic parents, who have left him scarred.

Declan and Ty have been best friends forever, and have been roommates for years. There is so much depth to their history, and I like the way we slowly learn more and more about them. We get to witness them as they go from friends to lovers. I enjoy the way Declan discovers how he really feels about Ty, and the discovery that he's demisexual.

Their whole story is a lot of fun. The struggles are real, as Declan's so damn scared to tell Ty that's he not straight. His secret has been going on for so long that he's afraid of Ty's reaction. You can feel Declan's fear jumping off the pages.

Ty and Declan have a wonderful best friend teasing and banter between them. If you enjoy good banter like I do, this one will leave you satisfied.

And, damn, Ty wears lace! Seriously, seriously hot scenes. I can't resist a man in lace!

If you haven't read At Home, you'll still enjoy this story a lot. However, I'd recommend also reading At Home if you enjoy age play. And, as we get to spend time with Colt and Derek again, you'll appreciate them better if you know their story. I, for one, am in absolute bliss that we get more time with them.

My favorite scene is when Ty cries. I don't want to give the scene away. You'll have to read it to find out. But it's a tender and beautiful moment. You can feel the love radiating from the page.

My favorite quote has to be "Your happiness is important...Find it."

I love Coming Home. I love everything about it. It's an amazing friends to lovers story. The addition of demisexuality and lace/lingerie is terrific. I will definitely be re-reading this gem! And I am excited to see what else Carly Marie has up her sleeve for this enchanting and kinky series.

Rough Terrain (Out of Uniform #7) by Annabeth Albert

Blurb

The camping trip from hell may be the first stop on the road to happily-ever-after.

Navy SEAL Renzo Bianchi has a soft spot for Canaan Finley, and not only because the man makes a mean smoothie. He’s the first guy to get Renzo’s motor revving in a long time. But when he agrees to Canaan’s insane charade—one all-access fake boyfriend, coming right up—he never expects more than a fling.

Creating a hot Italian SEAL boyfriend to save face seemed like a good idea…until his friends called Canaan’s bluff. Now he’s setting off into the woods with the very man who inspired his deception, and Canaan is not the outdoorsy type. The sparks are already flying when a flash flood separates them from their group, leaving Renzo and Canaan very much trapped…very much alone in the wilderness.

Working together to come up with a plan for survival is sexier than either of them expects. But back in the real world, being a couple is bringing its own set of hazards…

Rough Terrain, the 7th book in Annabeth Albert's Out Of Uniform series, is everything I was hoping it would be.

Renzo and Canaan's story is a whole lot of fun. It's full of action, some danger, and some steamy moments.

Renzo's a great character, a Navy Seal who's weighed down by expectations and guilt from his family. He's out as bi, but his options have long been limited. Canaan, an employee at the military smoothie café, cares for his grandfather, and is in school to be a nurse. And he's long had a crush on Renzo.

When the two men become fake boyfriends and go on a camping trip with Canaan's old bandmates, their relationship starts changing. Their adventure includes some eye opening moments for Canaan about his old friends, getting trapped, and some flirting.

One of my favorite parts of their story is the complication with Renzo being extremely well endowed. I love this. There are serious moments, funny moments, and some amazing frotting. I know many tend to enjoy this type of problem in their books, and the way this one is handled won't disappoint.

Another wonderful part is Canaan's grandfather, as he adds a lot to the story. As for Renzo, well, his brother's story will have your tearing up. His brother and his hero worship of Renzo is heart-breaking.

I am a huge fan of Annabeth Albert's Out of Uniform series and Rough Terrain is the perfect addition. The writing is fantastic, the men deep and loving, and the  plot's entertaining.

Melanie Hansen's Loving A Warrior is a wonderful military romance.

Shane, an ex-marine, is new to the SEAL training camp, and he finds it won't be easy. He's treated to some tests, both mental and physical. When he meets Matt, a fellow SEAL in training, he discovers the stress of trying to be involved in a forbidden and complicated relationship.

The author does a great job of creating a low-angst, yet highly intense story. The training scenes are brutal, the treatment from the other men awful, and the struggle to balance love with one's duty towards the SEALs is ever present.

This story will also take you on an emotional ride, as these men have a lot to deal with, and some of it is heart-breaking. Shane's past was not easy to read about, as we learn bits and pieces as the story progresses.

One mention in the story is to focus on the small part of your world that you can control instead of worrying about the big picture. I really enjoyed this thought, as we all need to remember that.

If you like action, big tough men, and a well developed story, be sure to check out Melanie Hansen's Loving A Warrior. It's superb. It's gritty, it's ugly, and it's raw. As one would assume, it's not easy to love a warrior. And Shane and Matt are proof of this.

Melanie Hansen doesn’t get nearly enough sleep. She loves all things coffee-related, including collecting mugs from every place she’s visited. After spending eighteen years as a military spouse, Melanie definitely considers herself a moving expert. She has lived and worked all over the country, and hopes to bring these rich and varied life experiences to the love stories she gets up in the wee hours to write. On her off-time, you can find Melanie watching baseball, reading or spending time with her husband and two teenage sons.
