MF - Reckless (Wildrose Landing #3) by Abby Brooks

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

I thought the proposal was a joke at first. You would too, given the circumstances. Anyone would.

When my brother’s best friend asks me to marry him—right after we fell into bed together!—it’s not for love. And it’s certainly not because he has his eyes set on a happily ever after.

Oh no.

He wants me to be the future Mrs. Malone because he’s in a bind and “kind of needs a wife.”

But I’ve been head-over-heels, stupid-in-the-brain in love with the guy since I was sixteen. SIXTEEN.

While he’s talking about a business proposal, I’m staring at a dream come true.

Obviously, I should walk away from this crazy idea with my head held high, but when it comes to Jude, I’m weak. I always have been.

Plus, after our drunken rendezvous the night of my brother’s wedding, I’ve got some very real reasons to say yes.

I can get through this with my heart intact…can’t I?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Reckless is a fantastic brother's best friend romance. This Abby Brooks gem is everything I love about this trope.

From the start, I feel in love with Jude and Izzy. These two have been longing for one another for years. But Jude has long known that Izzy was off limits.

Add in a one night stand, a proposal, and an accidental pregnancy, and things start to progress between the two. And wow, it gets so good between them!

Omg. I just love these two. Their story is riveting, with some tension and angst. Of course, there's plenty of doubts and some big obstacles, but I never doubted they'd eventually find their way.

Written in alternating first person pov, both characters fully come to life. Both characters have some issues in their backgrounds that have led them to be the way they are.

Reckless is a feel-good, wonderful read. I couldn't put this Abby Brooks book down, leaving me reading it late into the night. This is a must read for any fans of brother's best friends romances.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - MF - Game Changer (Las Vegas Vipers # 1) by Stacey Lynn

Game Changer by Stacey Lynn is now live!

Falling for your best friend is one thing, accidentally getting knocked up by him is another...

Hockey hottie Garrett Dubiak has been my best friend since college and the one constant in my life the past seven years. Through distance, career changes, and other relationships, we've always found our way back to each other.

Including one wild weekend this winter, when he finally told me he wanted more... wanted everything from me.

Too afraid to admit I felt the same, I told him I needed time.

Twelve weeks later, here I am, pregnant with his baby, alone, and terrified.

He's my best friend. He deserves to know the truth.

So I swallow my fear, my pride, and I shoot my shot. I just hope he's still willing to have me--and our baby.

Game Changer is a fun accidental pregnancy romance by Stacey Lynn. The first book in the Las Vegas Vipers series is the start of what looks to be a great hockey romance series.

Everything about this story had me falling in love. I adore the characters and their occasional friends with benefits arrangement. Add in the accidental pregnancy and I couldn't get enough of these two.

If you enjoy friends to lovers romances, you will love these two. Their journey develops over many years, helping to cement a solid connection.

Their story is full of fear, mistakes, and regrets. But most importantly, it's full of forgiveness.

Game Changer is a riveting hockey romance. It's a must read for any fans of sports romances. As for me, I can't wait to see what comes next in this Stacey Lynn series!

Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.

The author of over thirty romance novels, many of which have been best-selling titles on Amazon, AppleBooks, and Barnes & Noble, she loves being able to turn her vivid imagination into a career that brings entertainment and joy to her readers. Focused on sports romance and emotional, small-town romance, she also loves stretching herself in different genres.

Born in Texas and raised in the Midwest, she now makes her home in North Carolina and loves all things Southern. Together with her ultimate tall, dark, and handsome hero, she has four children. Her life is a chaotic mess that fights with her Type-A, list-making, neurotically organized preferences and she wouldn't have it any other way.

RELEASE BLITZ - MF - Unrivaled by Jerica MacMillan

Unrivaled by Jerica MacMillan is now live!

Secret baby meets enemies to lovers in this sizzling sports romance.

I never planned on seeing Grayson Kilpatrick again.

For a few reasons:
1. I didn't have a way to get in touch with him
2. He'd been recruited to play football for Ohio
3. He pretended he didn't know me when I tried to tell him I was pregnant

I have built my life around a new set of goals that I determined as soon as I had my son. My parents help out while I go to school. I have a plan. And I'm moving forward.

Until Grayson Kilpatrick makes a reappearance and upends all my plans. Again.

Unrivaled is a fantastic romance by Jerica MacMillan. I love this book. It feel into my hands at the right time for sure.

Despite involving a teen pregnancy and unresolved issues between Tiffany and Grayson, it's fairly low angst and easy to read.

It's sweet and I enjoy it all.

The two make a great couple and I enjoy the reunion and everything that follows.

Written in alternating first person pov, the writing style is great. Everything flows well and the storyline is entertaining.

This is a tale of second chances, with a smart friend, an adorable toddler, and college classes. And I love it all.

Unrivaled is a great choice the next time you're in the mood for a second chances romance. This Jerica MacMillan book is easily read as a standalone, but left me quickly devouring the rest of the series.

WOMEN'S FICTION - When We Meet Again by Caroline Beecham

An emotionally compelling tale of love and mystery set in the publishing world of World War II London, When We Meet Again tells the story of a mother searching for her stolen child, and illustrates the unbreakable bonds among families, lovers, and readers under the shadow of war.

London, 1943: War and dwindling resources have taken their toll on the book publishing industry, but Alice Cotton, a young editor at Partridge Press, has seen her star begin to rise. She has a knack for creating new books to distract readers from the grim realities of the war. And the demand for books is greater than ever, both on the battlefield and on the home front. But just as her hard work seems poised to pay off, Alice unexpectedly falls pregnant.

Facing the stigma of being an unwed mother, Alice flees to a small town to give birth to her child, Eadie, whom her family has promised to help raise. Instead, her mother sells the newborn to baby farmers who plan to give the child up for a private adoption. Alice begins her desperate hunt to find the daughter she never planned for but suddenly deeply loves.

Alice's story intertwines with that of Theo Bloom, an American editor tasked with helping Partridge Press overcome the publishing obstacles of the war. Theo and Alice are quickly drawn to each other during their darkest hours, bound by hope, love, secrets, and the belief that books have the power to change lives.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

When We Meet Again is an intriguing historical fiction read by Carlone Beecham.

From the start, I found myself feeling everything with Alice. Damn, the poor girl. My heart hurt for her immediately.

Her life goes from tragedy to yet worse tragedies. It's all a tough read. The fact that it's based on true events makes it even more powerful.

The writing is great, with everything representative of the time period. The author fully pulls the reader into the era. I also enjoy the secondary characters and the way the author brings them in and out of the story.

When We Meet Again is a great historical story. Everything about this Caroline Beecham tale is intriguing and easy to follow.

MF - The Sweet Talker (Boston Hawks Hockey #1) by Gina Azzi

I’ve sworn off hockey players. Until the pregnancy test turns pink.

Noah Scotch is revered in Boston, a veritable god on the ice. I’m a nerdy, newly minted college professor who would rather color code my planner than hit the club scene. Noah shouldn’t look at me twice but when he does, I falter.

Who can blame me?

The sweet talker with the deliciously chiseled abs and sinful chocolate eyes is a force. On and off the ice. One hot and intense night with Noah has me second guessing my lack of a dating life.

Friends with benefits? He offers, I dive in headfirst. Growing up in a hockey family, I know better than to get serious with a player.

But the more time I spend getting to know Noah, the more my intention to keep things casual rings false.

Now, I’ve got a hopeful heart and a baby on the way.

I just need to tell Noah. But when I do, will I end up with everything I never knew I wanted? Or on my own?

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

The Sweet Talker is just that; a sweet romance. The first book in Gina Azzi's Boston Hawks Hockey series, it's all sweetness and heat for this couple.

I enjoy the way they knew each other for years, but are reunited with a new attraction to each other.

Their individual backgrounds are interesting and well developed. Both have personal issues to deal with, as well as their feelings for each other.

From a hook up with a friend, to friends with benefits, both struggle with admitting their true feelings. And then she ends up pregnant. That definitely wasn't in the plans.

A sports romance, this isn't so much about the game. There's plenty of issues surrounding the game, but no real game moments.

The writing is great. Written in alternating first person pov, both characters are fully brought to life, with their emotions front and center.

The Sweet Talker is a delightful hockey romance. I am definitely happy with this Gina Azzi romance.

Some people can’t wait to have babies. They’re ready for it—with their perfect lives and their pregnancy glow…

Poppy Adams doesn’t have a perfect life, and she wasn’t ready for the positive test. An unexpected baby—Poppy’s unexpected baby—won’t exactly have her family doing cartwheels. But she’s making the right choice.

Right?

Poppy’s totally got this. She just needs a little encouragement, and a knitting group is the perfect place to start. Baby blankets, booties, tiny little hats—small steps toward her new life. But she feels like she’s already dropped a stitch when she discovers the knitting group is led by the charismatic Rhiannon.

It’s not exactly a great time to meet the woman who might just be the love of her life. While the group easily shuffles around to make room for Poppy, it’s not so easy fitting her life and Rhiannon’s together. With the weeks counting down until her baby arrives, Poppy’s going to have to decide for herself what truly makes a family.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Knit, Purl, a Baby and a Girl is an entertaining lesbian romance by Hettie Bell.

I found myself falling in love with this story at the start. But after that, at some point I stopped caring. I almost put it down. But luckily I kept reading and I became fully invested again. But the end, I really enjoyed this tale.

There's a lot going on in Poppy's life. She's pregnant, alone, and has some major family issues. Seriously, her mother is one hell of a pain in the ass.

Deciding to join a knitting group changes her life forever. I absolutely love and adore the way the knitting group becomes her circle of people. This group of individuals who have nothing in common but their craft, is perfectly written.

As well, Poopy meets and falls in love with Rhiannon.

The next nine months of Poppy's life is full of ups and downs, as well as a whole lot of character growth. Her relationships with everyone changes and then changes again. This is what is at the heart of this story. Poppy and the way she changes in her relationships with friends, family, and lovers.

Knit, Purl, a Baby and a Girl is a wonderful story in the end. Hettie Bell manages to capture the readers attention with a lot of charm and wit into this intriguing coming of age tale. The growth is Poppy's character has me happy to have discovered this book.
