MF - Reverb (Twisted Wishes #3) by Anna Zabo

Blurb

The tougher they are, the harder they fall.Twisted Wishes bass player Mish Sullivan is a rock goddess—gorgeous, sexy and comfortable in the spotlight. With fame comes unwanted attention, though: a stalker is desperate to get close. Mish can fend for herself, just as she always has. But after an attack lands her in the hospital, the band reacts, sticking her with a bodyguard she doesn’t need or want.

David Altet has an instant connection with Mish. A certified badass, this ex-army martial arts expert can take down a man twice his size. But nothing—not living as a trans man, not his intensive military training—prepared him for the challenge of Mish. Sex with her is a distraction neither of them can afford, yet the hot, kink-filled nights keep coming.

When Mish’s stalker ups his game, David must make a choice—lover or bodyguard. He’d rather have Mish alive than in his bed. But Mish wants David, and no one, especially not a stalker, will force her to give him up.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Reverb, the third book in Anna Zabo's Twisted Wishes series, is a fantastic addition to this rocker series.

We've known Mish is a badass from the other books in the series, but now we get her love story, as she falls for her bodyguard. You just gotta love bodyguard romances!

When Mish is being threatened by a stalker, David's hired as her bodyguard. Once Mish drops some of her anger about the situation, they develop a great friendship. This part is just a lot of fun, with them naturally easing into a good rapport. Later on, the pansexual rocker and her transgender bodyguard start to develop a sexual relationship, causing heat and some fear.

Personally, I love the non-issue of David being a F2M, as this should be the response. And, it's extra delightful that the sex is never an issue, as Mish is pansexual. As for the sex itself, it's great.

D
avid's mental toughness is solid, and I feel confident in saying he's a badass too. Not only physically tough, he's survived being a trans soldier, and all that this encompasses. His history is complex, but it's also not dwelled on much. Personally, I would have loved a little more background into him, but I still love him as is.

Mish and David are amazing together. Absolutely perfect for each other. They both understand the need to be true to yourself, and the need to claim the life you want. They both have made huge changes in the past and understand the need to do so.

The stalker issue is the reason the two are brought together, but the pace of this dangerous situation is not the true focus. Instead, we get more of how they develop their relationship throughout the ordeal, as well as the way being a bodyguard falling for his charge affects his ability to do his job.

Of course, it's fun catching up with the band in general, as I love the previous couples. This band, and it's members, is awesome, full of conflict and love.

One of my favorite parts of this story however, is the overall sense and meaning of family. The band is a family. They all have each other and they all support each other. David's been alone for a long time and struggles with thinking he can be a part of something so special.

There's also a superb discussion of love and changing people. Yes, we all hesitate to change ourselves for someone but love truly does change everyone.

I really enjoy Reverb. Although an MF romance, it has fantastic representation of the lgbt community. Anna Zabo excels in their representation of these characters in this beautiful tale of learning to accept love.

Found In Beaumont by Susi Hawke

Blurb

Two broken omegas and one hard-edged alpha… three men who are stronger than they think… especially when they trust each other enough to be vulnerable.A pair of omegas who are everything to each other...

Not only are they best friends, they’re also lovers. In all the years that they’ve been on the streets fighting to survive, they’ve had one end goal: to one day find an alpha strong enough to love both of them equally.

An alpha without a purpose...

Since his return to civilian life, Beaumont has yet to reconnect with society. Instead, he spends his nights running from nightmares and memories of war. While out on one of his nightly wanderings, the alpha catches sight of two of the prettiest angels he’s ever seen. Intrigued, he follows them home… only to find them taking refuge on a filthy, discarded mattress in an abandoned warehouse.

Three broken men who can heal each other’s wounds...

Beau goes from stalker to protector in the blink of an eye when his angels need him to intervene in a bad situation. Before he realizes it's happening, life as he knows it changes to become something new and precious.

Lukas is the protector. He’s tough, snarky, and would happily give his own life if necessary to protect his Gid. Time and time again, he’s proven his strength by rescuing Gideon from would-be attackers. Now he needs to find the courage to let go and trust Beau to protect them all.

Sweet, angelic Gideon is used to being protected and adored. None of the horrible things in his life seem to affect him, because at the end of the day, he’s always had Lukas... and that’s all that matters. When the chips are down, can Gid discover his inner strength and step up to be an equal partner in this fragile new triad?

This mmm book contains mpreg, and intended for 18+ readers. Possible triggers for attempted sexual assault, violence, and breath play kink. Parts of this book are a little darker than you’re used to from Susi Hawke, but an HEA and all the laughs and shmoopy feels that you’d expect are definitely included!

My Rating - 5 Stars

Found in Beaumont, by Susi Hawke, is perfectly charming and compelling.

Beaumont is back home, after being in service, but he's unable to re-intregrate into society after the pain he endured overseas. When Beaumont spots Lukas and Gideon, he is charmed and sets out to protect them.

Lukas and Gideon, are Omega boyfriends who are currently homeless and trying to get jobs and a place to live. They dream of finding an Alpha to love them both and with whom they can start a family.

Lukas and Gideon compliment each other perfectly. Lukas is strong, protective and optimistic, while Gideon is sweet, angelic, and in need of Gideon to help keep him grounded. Then they meet Beaumont, who is a tough, hard as nails former soldier, who is willing to stalk the omega couple trying to keep them safe.

Their path to a HEA is paved with some obstacles and scares, but in the end it is beautiful, sweet and delightful.

Found In Beaumont is a special book. The way the three men come together to compliment one another and love with another is wonderful and unique. I am highly impressed by the depth of this story by Susi Hawke.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Jace's Trial, book 1 in the Trials in Abingdon series, by JM Wolf, is absolutely perfect! I love a great May-December story, and this one is as good as it gets.

Gerard comes to Abingdon for the one year anniversary of his ex boyfriend, Riley's death. And here he meets Jace, Riley's son who looks eerily like Riley.

Jace has been broken since his father died. His whole life has been about music, but he hasn't been able to even think about music without his father. He is lost, not really living, since losing his muse.

Riley may be dead, but he is discussed a lot. He was a wonderful man, so loving, who absolutely cherished his son, sister and Gerard. Gerard learns a lot more about Riley from his family and he is filled with pride for how amazing the man he loved was.

JM's writing style is positively easygoing and riveting. The dual first person narrative sucks you completely into the minds of Jace and Gerard, allowing you to feel everything along with the characters.

The town of Abingdon is a wonderful, warm place, where everyone knows everyone else's business.

Overall, it's an absolutely enthralling story where two broken men can help one another learn to live again, and learn to fly.

I am thrilled to have found Jace's Trial and can't wait to read more of this series. JM Wolf has a winner with this book!

Coming Together is another winner in the Baxter Springs series by Avery Ford!

It is a perfect actor/bodyguard romance, featuring Preston, a Broadway star and Jake, who is hired to be his bodyguard.

When the threats to Preston get bad, Jake steps in to protect him, whisking him to a secret location. Despite his reservations, Preston goes to Kansas to stay with Jake at his brother's ranch. Thus, we get the added bonus of hanging with the Baxter Springs gang again!

While at the ranch, they pretend to be boyfriends, in order to try to keep Preston safe. As Jake is straight, he is surprised to find himself attracted to the actor.

What follows is a memorable romance, amidst death threats, suspense, and more.  You'll laugh, you be scared, and you will fall in love with Preston and Jake! They may make some stupid decisions, but they are wonderful together.

Set aside some time to read Coming Out if you're a fan of Avery Ford, or romance in general.
