Noble (Tags of Honor #2) by Annabella Stone

Blurb

Red Squadron is the tip of the spear in the war against global terrorism. Navy SEAL Commander, Noble Bauer, leads the JASOC Taskforce and knows his team won’t be complete until he finds a Communications Specialist. He knows just the man for the job. The only problem is can he get him to listen. Damn it, why did the best man for the job have to be the one he left behind so long ago?
The last person Max Delgado expected to see while on an Undercover Op is the guy who left him high and dry after his life fell apart. The asshole who left him to pick up the pieces alone when his father was arrested for espionage, while he was still a teenager. Why the hell should he listen to a damn word Noble has to say now?
JASOC wants information they believe Max’s father holds. Max has always wanted answers. Can Noble keep his heart intact and his hands to himself, as he works with the one man guaranteed to make him crazy?

Annabella Stone's Noble, the second in her Tags Of Honor series, is everything I've come to expect from her books.

It's a great action/adventure tale, involving military men, and a whole lot of complicated people and details. Each of her books, both the Tags Of Honor series, and the Delta Force books, are full of twists and turns, romance, and hot, fit guys. And, even better yet, her Tags Of Honor books contain the men we love from Delta Force!

You like Navy Seals? Make sure to check out this series. Her writing style is great, with lots of serious danger that never overwhelms the reader.

Noble and Max are fantastic guys who are perfect together. They have some obstacles to overcome, but it's well worth all of it.

Noble is a compelling second chance romance. Annabella Stone weaves a - story of protecting those you love with separating a man from his family's actions. It's a fast read, as the flow moves quickly, and I loved it.

Length: 77,300 words approx.

BUD/S: six months of the most intense training there is. It’s survival of the toughest, and Matt Knytych is determined to come out the other side a navy SEAL.

Distraction is life or death. And just the sight of former marine Shane Hovland is enough to shake Matt’s concentration.

Shane came to BUD/S training ready to prove himself—again. Semper Fi is forever, but he needs a new start. Not this dangerous heat with a man he barely knows.

Everything they’ve ever wanted is riding on a thin, punishing line. And they’ll have to fight for more than just each other if they want to make it through intact.

After all, the only easy day was yesterday.

Melanie Hansen's Loving A Warrior is a wonderful military romance.

Shane, an ex-marine, is new to the SEAL training camp, and he finds it won't be easy. He's treated to some tests, both mental and physical. When he meets Matt, a fellow SEAL in training, he discovers the stress of trying to be involved in a forbidden and complicated relationship.

The author does a great job of creating a low-angst, yet highly intense story. The training scenes are brutal, the treatment from the other men awful, and the struggle to balance love with one's duty towards the SEALs is ever present.

This story will also take you on an emotional ride, as these men have a lot to deal with, and some of it is heart-breaking. Shane's past was not easy to read about, as we learn bits and pieces as the story progresses.

One mention in the story is to focus on the small part of your world that you can control instead of worrying about the big picture. I really enjoyed this thought, as we all need to remember that.

If you like action, big tough men, and a well developed story, be sure to check out Melanie Hansen's Loving A Warrior. It's superb. It's gritty, it's ugly, and it's raw. As one would assume, it's not easy to love a warrior. And Shane and Matt are proof of this.

Melanie Hansen doesn’t get nearly enough sleep. She loves all things coffee-related, including collecting mugs from every place she’s visited. After spending eighteen years as a military spouse, Melanie definitely considers herself a moving expert. She has lived and worked all over the country, and hopes to bring these rich and varied life experiences to the love stories she gets up in the wee hours to write. On her off-time, you can find Melanie watching baseball, reading or spending time with her husband and two teenage sons.

A diva who lives for the spotlight, a sailor deeply in the closet, a love that will change them both
Ripley Malone is returning to Perth in triumph. A principal ballet dancer in a production that has critics raving, he is an unqualified success, and all the small–minded  people that made his life hell can kiss his lycra–covered ass. But behind the makeup and the glitter and the costumes, Ripley is beginning to tire, tire of the competition, the drive, the endless parade of meaningless lovers.
For Pierce Lovell, joining the Navy was a way out of rural Victoria, but becoming a submariner comes with its own set of challenges. The close living quarters and long months away are awkward enough without adding any extra tension around his sexuality. The fear is probably in his head, but he isn't taking any chances with his career. He gets by on anonymous one–night–stands every time they come to shore and keeps his heart well–shielded. But one night with Ripley opens the tantalising possibility of more.
Through a mistake Ripley is injured. He can't dance. His wings are clipped and he crashes down and hits the earth hard. Pierce knows their affair can't possibly end in anything but heartache, but he can't stay away. As Ripley heals and reassesses his life, he is determined not to make the same mistakes again. That means letting someone see the vulnerable side of him. But vulnerability for Pierce could cost him everything

In The Spotlight is a fantastic read by Shona Husk! This is my first time reading anything by Shona and I loved it!

Ripley is so much fun, just full of life and attitude. When he meets Pierce, a closeted Navy sailor, the attraction is instant. Both men are going through some issues in their lives though.

Ripley dreams of playing the Prince in Swan Lake onstage someday, but he's also struggling with his future, as he's afraid he's going to develop Huntington's Disease like his father. And when he becomes injured, he is at even more of a crossroads.

Pierce is living a lie, continuing to lie to his friends about his sexuality. It has never been easy for him, but when he meets Ripley it proves to be even more difficult.

Two weeks. They will be in the same place for two weeks and decide to spend that time together. Knowing the time will be short will prevent either from heartache, but they know it still wouldn't be easy to say goodbye.

When the feelings become more real, they have some decisions to make. They live in different countries, Pierce travels with his Navy job, and can they make a closeted relationship work between them.

I found myself sucked into this book immediately, completely intrigued and falling for these men. The writing style is quick, emotional and so much fun.

Definitely check out In The Spotlight, as Shona Husk has a winner with this story!

Honor, by Andi Jaxon and AJ Alexander, is a wonderful story of healing and love.

Logan has always been in love with Katie. Unfortunately, she fell in love with his best friend and fellow Navy Seal, Ryan. When Ryan is killed, he tells Logan to go and take care of Katie.

He avoids doing so for years, but when he does, they hook up and she falls in love with him. Katie is confused that her feelings for Logan are stronger than they were for her husband.  Ryan loved her, but Logan can't live without her. Same with her.  Katie needs to forgive herself for moving on and actually loving Logan harder and deeper.

Now they are in love, but he hasn't confessed who he is yet and she has yet to make the connection between Logan and Ryan. The longer he puts it off, the more it will upset her.

This book is super romantic. Logan's feelings were Katie were always those of love. And as Katie gets to know Logan now, she falls hard, fast and deep. I love her ability to realize the different types of love that exist.

I recommend Honor for anyone looking for a sweet, gripping, romance.

Andi Jaxon Bio:
Raised all over the country, I'm a interesting mix of East Coast meets West Coast with a little bit of Southern thrown in, just for good measure. I married a sexy man in uniform who let me spawn and am now raising a mutinous army of hell raisers that I created myself, all while he defends our country. I drink too much coffee until it's late enough to drink too much wine and am sexually frustrated for your freedom. If you see me online, I'm probably sitting in a closet, hiding from my kids.

AJ Alexander Bio:
Fluent in sarcasm, Supernatural, and song lyrics, I like talking to people and finding what makes them tick, though that probably has to do with the Psychology degree. I’m up before the sun because my kids don’t sleep, chugging tea and coffee to keep my eyes open and my brain semi functional. Being married to a man in uniform means I’ve lived a lot of places, survived seeing my husband for half the amount of time I’ve been married, and spent a lot of time raising my kids alone.

I love to write messed up psychos with lots of angst, happily ever afters that have to be worked for. Women with sass and backbone, men with a twisted hero complex and the need to control are my favorite to read as well as write.
