Mr. Right Now (Suits & Sevens #2) by Isla Olsen

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Right place. Right Time. Right Name.

Drew

When my parents decided to name me Andrew I doubt they could have imagined it would lead me here…

Where is here, exactly?

The short version—the Wattleglen Inn on Long Island, where my roommate’s billionaire brother has roped me into pretending to be his boyfriend for a family wedding weekend. All because I happen to have the same name as the ex his family still thinks he’s dating.

The long version—a ton of questioning, fantasizing, and giving in to temptation after being on the receiving end of the most epic BJ I’ve ever had in my life.

Sullivan Stapleton is the last person I should be getting involved with; he’s on the rebound, he’s a guy, and he’s a freakin’ billionaire who never saw a problem he couldn’t throw money at.

But I can’t turn down the cash he’s offering to be his fake boyfriend for the weekend; not when I’m in dire need of funds to repair some storm damage to my auto-shop.

And then after the wedding…well, I should walk away. But for some reason I just can’t seem to let go.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Mr Right Now is the second book in the Suits & Sevens series by Isla Olsen. The story can easily be read as a standalone, yet there are appearances from the author's past characters.

This one starts with a fake date, as Sullivan hires an escort to attend his sister's wedding.

Oh, this one is pure fun. Drew's always considered himself straight, resulting in a bisexual awakening. Yay! I'll admit that Drew sure was stuck on his straightness though. Damn, he was stubborn and in complete denial. It was a little too much at times, but I can easily overlook that.

If you enjoy fake relationships that easily turn real, this book is for you. If you enjoy rich versus poor romances, this one is for you.

The sex is hot. The relationship is fun. There are a couple things I don't love about the storyline, but I won't give too many details. If you go into it knowing it's light-hearted, and enjoy it for what it is, you'll be happy with it.

The writing is great, with a fast past and easy to follow. The story is pretty low angst, and tons of fun.

Mr Right Now is perfectly sweet and funny. This Isla Olsen read is a nice escape that will leave you smiling and entertained.

Pretenders by Alexa Land

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Doctor Wesley Bennett is desperate to find a date for his ex-fiancĂ©’s destination wedding. So desperate, in fact, that he’s decided to hire an escort to pose as his boyfriend.

That’s what he thinks, anyway.

My roommate’s the actual escort, not me. He wasn’t available, so I stepped in. This job was just way too sweet to pass up.

It should be easy. All we have to do is convince everyone Wesley and I are a couple without getting emotionally involved. He’s adorable though, in a nerdy and endearingly awkward kind of way, and the attraction between us is undeniable. I have a feeling things are about to get complicated. And what’s going to happen when the job is over? Can we stop pretending and build something real? Or are a straight-laced pediatrician and a lavender-haired DJ too different to make it work?

Pretenders is a stand-alone, opposites attract gay romance, set in the world of Alexa Land’s best-selling Firsts and Forever Series.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

I am super excited with Pretenders, a return to the First and Forever universe by Alexa Land. This is one of my all time favorite series and this is a fabulous addition to that world.

I just adore this book. Everything about it is charming, sweet, and easy to fall in love with.

When Wesley needs a date for his ex's wedding, he hires Ash to be his fake boyfriend. Of course, Wesley thinks Ash is a escort.

I love the way things develop for these two. They get to know one another and it's all sweet and cute. They are such opposites and yet perfect for one another.

As for the wedding, well, let's just say that Wesley's ex and his family are easy to dislike.

Of course, we get to revisit with Nana D and her merry crew of gay boys, which is just delightful. I love this crazy lady and all her penises!

Pretenders is a fabulous fake relationship romance. I couldn't put this Alexa Land book down.

Understanding Desire (Club DeSires #2) by Quinn Ward

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

They were both filled with regrets over the night they accidentally wound up in bed together. When they realize the chemistry is real, the fun begins...

Tanner has never forgotten the night he let his impulsive nature get the best of him... or the look on Ryan's face the morning after. He was certain he'd blown any chance of turning his fantasies into reality. When he's forced to face his brother's best friend, he has no clue how much his life is going to change.

Ryan kept his life packed into different boxes. When he was back home, he was the All-American boy next door. No one knew how much he craved hearing a boy call him Daddy. But it wasn't any boy he wanted... it was the one man he needed to stay far away from. There was no way his best friend would give them his blessing if he knew all the things Ryan wanted to do to Tanner.

The moment Tanner confesses to wanting all the things Ryan has to offer, what was supposed to be a weekend of exploration turns into something neither of them can give up. Will Ryan find a way to help Tanner become the boy he's meant to be with them living on opposite sides of the country?

Understanding Desire is the second book in the Club DeSires series, part of the kinky town of Annandale. It features a tender yet twisted Daddy, a boy with an exhibitionist streak he didn't know existed, and a host of friends who can't wait to corrupt Tanner's mind.
Note: This story is an expansion of Ring in the True, originally available as a free short story. The beginning has been expanded, and the story continues after Ryan and Tanner ring in the new year with style!

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Understanding Desire is the second book in the Club DeSires series by Quinn Ward. Another book in the Annandale setting, I love this fictional setting.

This tale is smoking hot, with lots of controlled demands, sex toys, and risky moments.

Tanner and Ryan are reunited and brought together by some nicely done forced proximity. They have some past issues to deal with, but soon agree to a weekend of daddy dynamics.

With them having a long distance relationship, there's lots of steamy phone moments and built up tension.

There are some family issues, as Ryan's brother is Tanner's  best friend.
There's pressure to stay long distance, which prolongs the tension and longing.

I enjoy most of this book, but I didn't get any of the club scenes I wanted. There was anticipation and teasing of it, but the story ends before we ever get one. I was left wanting.

I definitely enjoy the way the author writes, and the storyline is definitely enjoyable. I am always excited to read this author.

Understanding Desire is a good addition to this series. I hope we get to visit with the club more in the next book. But basically, I can't wait to see what comes next no matter what.

Welcome to Chester Falls, where you can expect to meet sweet men, sexy situations, interfering friends, lots of feels, and a happy ever after.

Book One in the Chester Falls series. How To Catch a Prince is a sweet and steamy MM romance novel with no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed HEA.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ana Ashley's How to Catch a Prince is a fun fake boyfriend romance. I love everything about this sweet read.

Kris is a prince who's famous and often in the tabloids. Following some negative press, he's sent to America to get away for a bit. Meanwhile, Charlie is off to his sister's wedding, which is awkward as his closeted ex will be there. But, low and behold, Kris and Charlie meet.

Kris is cute, fun, and lovable from the start. Charlie's a sympathetic character who gets to know Kris well before ever discovering that he's a prince.

I adore that Charlie's an artist and the way he describes his passion. Even better, is the way Kris supports him and his passion. "It matters Charlie...Your dreams matter. You matter." Wow, total swoon moment.

I appreciate that the author explores some of the downfalls of being royalty, or famous in any way. Even better, I appreciate that Kris is not the next one in line, but rather his sister is.

Their meet cute is wonderful, but my favorite moment is when Kris knows he's fallen for Charlie. "...there was no way I'd burden Charlie with the knowledge that I had without a shadow of a doubt fallen for him." Omg, this is when I knew I had truly fallen in love with Kris myself.

Their story is told in alternating first person pov, expertly drawing the reader into the emotions and worlds of both characters. The writing is great, with a solid story and a good pace. The characters are well developed, including some of the important side characters.

Their story includes an eventful family wedding get-away, a closeted ex who won't take no for an answer, and some small town fun. There's humor and sweetness, as these two men naturally connect and fall in love.

How to Catch a Prince is perfect when you're in the mood for something light hearted with a dream-like quality. It's like a charming Hallmark movie. The story's romantic and dreamy, perfectly capturing that fairytale feel. And best of all, it's the start of a series, leaving me excited for more from this small town. And, oh lord, I can't wait to learn more about Charlie's family.

The Faker Rulebook by Baylin Crow

The Faker Rulebook: A perfect guide to a successful fake relationship with your straight best friend.

Noah—Rook Oliveira stumbled into my life when I was eleven years old.

Being the scrawny new kid at school with a mouth full of braces, I never expected to become unlikely best friends with the most popular boy in seventh grade.

At eighteen, I gathered the courage to tell him I was gay and admitted I'd never kissed a guy. He offered to be my first. Straight or not, that kiss had burned with nearly tangible fire and tattooed the moment on my heart.

I've spent the last four years trying to forget it.

Now we're seniors in college, and I've learned why secret relationships are a bad idea.

My brother is getting married, and my cheating ex is the best man. Honestly, Rook is more upset about it than I am. He comes up with this crazy plan to be my fake boyfriend for the week of the wedding.

If we're doing this, then we need to set some rules. Between fake kisses and sharing a bed, things could get messy. Because I'm in love with my best friend—and he has no idea.

The rules are simple. I never expected Rook to be the one that started breaking them.

The Faker Rulebook is a high steam, low angst standalone novel.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

The Faker Rulebook is a fabulous sports romance by Baylin Crow. With sports romances being my all time favorite, I was super excited for this book. Luckily it was everything I was hoping it would be!

I love this one from the start. Best friends, one kiss, and many years later. Ohhh...I love it.

After one kiss when young, the story fast forwards to senior year of college.  Noah's newly single and everyone's joking about them being a couple. With Noah having to see his cheating ex again at a family wedding, Rook insists they attend as a fake couple. Cue the fake relationship that leads to more.

Again...ohhhh. Love it!

I adore how close the men are, staying inseparable through all the years. They are each other's other half, despite Rook never realizing it. I love following their journey from friends to lovers.

Everything about this book if perfect for me. I love a good sexual awakening tale and this one is pure delight. There are moments of pure want and need. There's so damn much emotion - pain, fear, and anxiety. And just when I'm becoming overwhelmed with the emotions, they make me laugh with banter, sass, and more banter.

Take note that overall, this is a sweet, feel-good read. The tension is high at times between the characters, but never with the outside. There is no fear of coming out as an athlete. There is no fear of being friends with a gay nerd. None of that is there. Instead, this is a story of the way these two best friends come together to be more.

The Faker Rulebook is an awesome friends to lovers romance. I love all of this Baylin Crow gem. I love these men and the ending is adorable, leaving me smiling. I could read this fluffy romance over and over.

Home For Christmas, A Finding Home Christmas Novel by Carly Marie

Chaos disguised as Christmas has arrived, and it’s brought all the Scott brothers home.

Derek is always looking for a reason to spend time with his brothers, and Jasper, Greg, and Harrison’s upcoming wedding means that they need a party to celebrate. And how better to do that than to invite his brothers to Tennessee? But what happens when his husband, Colt, starts thinking their house may be too small for so many people? Is it true that the more really is the merrier?

After a whirlwind trip to Tennessee—and a lingering hangover—there’s no rest for Ty or Declan who jump right back into life in California with their twins and work. Long hours at the office and busy days with the kids makes arriving in Oklahoma that much sweeter. But when Declan’s past comes back into his life, will it ruin the trip?

For better or worse, Jasper’s family finally made it to Oklahoma, and the house has never been so full, or festive. Spending time with his brothers isn’t anywhere near as stressful as it used to be, but a freak snowstorm is. As the storm grows and snow piles up, it threatens to keep Greg’s family from Oklahoma and Jasper, Harrison, and Greg’s wedding. The three are going to need a true Christmas miracle to pull off the wedding of their dreams. But is that one wish too big, even for Christmas magic?

Home for Christmas is the 67k word follow-up novel to the Finding Home series. Catch up with all the Scott men and follow Derek, Colt, Ty, Declan, as they head home to spend Christmas with Jasper, Greg, and Harrison. Expect naughty gifts, sexy times, and unwavering love and acceptance while the Scotts celebrate as only they can.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Carly Marie's Home For Christmas is absolutely wonderful. I have no clue how to do this book justice. If you're a fan of the Finding Home series, this book will be one of the best books you've ever read.

We get to spend time with all the Finding Home men, as they get together to celebrate the holidays, as well as a family wedding. Each couple gets their time as the focus, although all three couples are around throughout.

First we get Derek and Colt, with so many tender age play moments. These two continue to delight. It's fascinating to see them navigate between adult time with the kids, to little time. And, omg, the way all the other men accept and help with Derek's little time is just the best.

Next we get Ty and Declan, and a peak into their kink. They have to balance their love of lace and silk with their family time. Their kids are precious and seeing the men get a time away from work is as good as I was hoping it would be.

Finally there's Jasper, Greg, and Harrison. And their wedding! Everything about them will melt your heart. It's just fabulous and includes one hell of a wedding gift.

In general, the Scott family is the best! I love everything about them and wish I could be a part of the fun personally. Getting to spend more time with them is truly a gift. The chaos, the abundance of family, and all the kink adds up to be a most wonderful of Christmases indeed.

Their story includes diapers, binkies, lace, double penetration, and more. And it couldn't have been any better! Seriously, the way the men support one another, and are comfortable around each other, is truly all I could ever ask for from them.

Overall, Home for Christmas quickly became one of my favorite holiday reads. Carly Marie went above and beyond to give us a look into one of the sweetest and kinkiest Christmases ever.

Two Men and a Baby (Love & Luck #5) by Isla Olsen

Amazon Link - Available in KU

Josh

Here’s some advice for surviving your ex’s wedding weekend:

1. Just smile and nod whenever someone lays on the sympathy
2. Stay away from tequila
3. Don’t make out with any of your ex’s brothers

Whoops

Connor Kelly sure has changed over the past eight years. He’s no longer the scrawny emo kid I remember from before he moved away; and, oh yeah, apparently he’s into guys now...

But it doesn’t matter how hot Connor is, or how funny, or how charming - he’s my ex’s brother and that means he’s off limits.

It doesn’t seem like anyone’s ever explained that rule to Connor, though...

When he calls one day begging for my help, I’m expecting it to be yet another ploy in his effort to get me to go out with him. Cue my surprise when I find a shell-shocked Connor with a baby he claims is his son.

As if it weren’t already hard enough resisting Connor, watching the way he connects and bonds with his son is going to make it damn near impossible...

Warning: This book is not appropriate for anyone who doesn’t like laughing, anyone who doesn’t like babies, or anyone who doesn’t like when sexy nerds and hot bearded men have a ton of scorching hot sex.

*Happily Ever After included

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Two Men and a Baby is the the fifth book in the fan-freakin-tastic Love & Luck series by Isla Olsen. All of the men in the series, and the Kelly family as a whole, have captured my heart.

This one is fun from the start, with Josh and Connor hooking up at a wedding. Little does Josh realize that his hookup is the brother of his ex. Oops. I love the concept and I am enthralled by the execution. I love it all. After all, if it isn't awkward enough to be near an ex, try dating his brother. Awkward.

Take note though that this is handled in a manner I haven't seen before. It isn't icky at all. The former relationship was never meant to be and both men completely moved on. The two brothers definitely end up with the right person now. I also appreciate the way the brothers and the family handle the news.

And then there's a surprise baby. Now this aspect I really adore as it is all done in an angst free manner. Unlike so many books, this time there's no hatred and fights, and Connor just wants to be there for his kid, as well as help out the mother.

If you haven't noticed yet, Connor is bi, and this is a fabulous bi-awakening romance for him.

The Kellys are as amazing as ever. I wish they would adopt me. They are hysterical, with banter and barbs throughout, yet they are also loving and supportive.

Written in alternating 1st person pov, the reader is pulled into every moment first hand. You'll be there for the baby food in beards, the hilarious texts, and a whole lot of Kelly banter, aka love.

Two Men and a Baby is sweet, funny, and compelling. Everything about this Isla Olsen read will leave you thrilled to send some more time with the Kellys. And you will fall in love with Josh and Connor. If you don't read this book, you are seriously missing out.

Best Laid Plans (Best Men Inc. #1) by Zoe Dawn

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

Dill Best has a wedding to plan, a family business to save, and no time for straight guys with hard muscles and soft kisses.

Dill:
I’m fed up with the Walker family. It seems like everyone has their own agenda for this high-budget wedding that’s supposed to catapult our family business to the next level. And then I find out my one-night fling was the best man, Griff Walker. The groom’s brother. Who’s not out. And we’re stuck together with his simmering gaze and wandering hands… all week long.

The Best family’s first rule? Don’t get involved with the wedding party. But I can’t keep my eyes—or hands—off him.

Griff:
I hate being back in town. I ran to Arizona to get away from these small-minded, big-spending bigots. I only came back for the bride’s sake; my sister-in-law is the closest to real family I’ve got. I want to protect sassy little Dill from the rest of my family… and cherish him… and maybe even love him. Oh, crap.

I’m supposed to be leaving in a week. Now that I’ve found something with Dill that feels real, I want to stay. But my family has other plans… and the truth might just shatter this fairytale wedding.

The Best Men, Inc. trilogy (Best Laid Plans, Best Foot Forward, and Best Served Hot) are low-angst, high-shenanigans stories about the craziest wedding of the summer! No cheating or love triangles, and everyone who deserves a happy ending will get one. Each book follows a different brother so they can all stand alone, or be read in any order. RSVP now to join the fun!

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Zoe Dawn's Best Laid Plans, the first book in the Best Men Inc series, is a beautiful read. Overall, this is a story of a whirlwind, one week romance. Griff and Dill are seriously hot together, with amazing chemistry.

The instant attraction between Griff and a stranger leads to a one night stand. But the fun starts when Griff discovers his one night stand is actually his brother's wedding planner.  What follows is  crazy and off the rails, and I love it all!

I love these men and their complex lives. Griff's family sucks; he struggles with all of them, as they are pretentious and consider him inferior. There is no way he can ever come out to them. But Dill provides a breathe of fresh air into Griff's life.

Griff and Dill have a strong connection, sizzling chemistry, and become partners in crime against Griff's crazy family. Their relationship includes plenty of sneaking around, some hot masturbation, and a major conflict of interest.

This is a family wedding, with a whole slew of family issues. As Griff and Dill are attracted to one another, there are plenty of obstacles and complications in their way. Included in this story are some suspicious characters, as well as twists and turns to keep one on their toes.

For Dill it all comes down to the fact that his family's business needs this wedding to happen. But Dill knows he should stop the wedding. It's a great idea for a story and the author carries it out perfectly.

The writing is super, with a great flow, and interesting characters. Told in alternating 1st person pov, the characters are fully brought to life, with the emotions front and center.

Best Laid Plans is a sweet, tender, and crazy romance that had me riveted throughout. Zoe Dawn will left me delighted with story of two men who open each other to a new kind of life, all with love.
