More Than a Feeling is a fun rock star romance by Erika Kelly. The fourth book in the Rock Star Romance series, it's easily read as a standalone.
Cooper and Daisy's romance is a good mix of drama, romance, and family. They get their second chance when Cooper comes home to find out a secret from his mom.
Cooper's second chance with Daisy reignites all the old feelings. Of course, he's only supposed to be in town for a couple days, so nothing will come of it, right? Wrong!
These characters charmed me from the start. I love the way they are together, both now and back when they were younger. They are supportive, caring, and loving.
And god, I adore the lessons Cooper learns. His childhood is a huge element of this book. He was alone growing up, struggling without a dad and trying to provide for himself despite no help from his drugged out mother. I absolutely love the discovers he makes by the end of the book. It's a fascinating take on the things he experienced.
But I also love the strength and courage he develops over the course of the book. This is his story of learning to escape from his painful past, move forward, and let people into his world.
The setting is wonderfully established, with the reader easily feeling like they are there. It's a feel good atmosphere for sure.
This is a story of pain and forgiveness. It's a story of healing and strength. It's a story with secrets and confessions. And it's a great read.
This whole band is a lot of fun and won my heart over. As this is the first book I've read in this series, I will definitely be going back to read the previous books.
More Than a Feeling is a great choice the next time you're in the mood for a rocker romance. This Erika Kelly hurt/comfort read is riveting from start to finish.
