Basketball has always been his one love, until now . . .

Zeke Armstrong never imagined he’d be back in Vermont, but here he is, living in Colebury and trying to rehab an injury that could mean an early retirement from pro basketball. Running into his former classmate, Mallory Barrett, shouldn’t be a distraction. It shouldn’t mean anything, so why is he accidentally on purpose showing up at the coffee shop where the beautiful writer spends her time?

Mallory Barrett has met a guy. Well, she hasn’t met him yet, except for on the dating app she almost refused to download. “Coby” sparks her interest and gets her jokes--and gives the romance-novel heroes she loves so much a full-court run for their money. When their first date doesn’t work out, she decides to give him another shot . . . just as a man she despises reenters her life. While her interest in the mystery man on the app grows, she clashes constantly with Zeke in real life. She can’t forgive him for humiliating her in high school, yet she can’t deny she’s drawn to him now.

She’s somehow gone from confirmed bachelorette to the tie-breaker between two men.  Meanwhile Zeke has a secret--one that will cost him the game if Mallory finds out . .

My Rating - 3.5 Stars!

Doubletalk is Teralyn Mitchell's contribution to the Busy Bean series. Each book in this multi-author series is a standalone.

Zeke is an NBA player who's back in Vermont while healing from an injury. His future is up in the air as he doesn't know if he can make it back into the game.

While home he gets to see his former best friend, Mallory, for the first time in years. There's plenty of emotion between them, as things got between them and they carry pain and hurt.

Both characters are at a roadblock with their careers. As Zeke struggles with his injury, Mallory's struggling with her writer's block.

This is a story with a lot of explanations and forgiveness. I enjoyed the characters and their journey, but I struggled to always stay connected to them. It's a story with an online dating app and a long carried secret that looms overheard for way too long. The storyline is promising, but I just don't love the way it's all executed.

Doubletalk is a nice addition to this small town world. But this Teralyn Mitchell book isn't my favorite in the series.

She didn’t wait for me to say anything else, spinning on her heels and heading for the nearest store or restaurant where she could sit down. I chuckled and turned to head in the other direction. A hard wall of muscle made me stumble. Two strong hands gripped my upper arms. I looked up to see who had saved me from falling and who I needed to thank. The need to be polite shriveled and died when I saw that it was Zeke holding onto my arms.

“Are you okay?”

The combination of his deep voice and his hands on me caused me to shiver. I shook him off. What the hell? Why was I always reacting to him? I didn’t like him or his stupid good looks. I crossed my arms over my stomach.

“Why are you always where I am?” I snapped.

“Small town?”

“We’re in Burlington.”

“Still small, Ror. You also don’t have a monopoly on all things Vermont.”

I rolled my eyes. He had me there. “So, you’re telling me you normally wander the Marketplace on a cold Sunday?”

“When I have something to do, I wander around,” he said. “And maybe Stacey texted me and told me the two of you would be here.”

I clenched my teeth. Of course, she told him we’d be here. She went out of her way to make my life hell. So even though today had been about me getting her back, somehow, she’d figured out how to stick it to me too. I mean, not really. It’d probably been innocent, but I was going to blame her anyway.

It was frustrating to continuously run into Zeke. He had a point about it being a small town. This was what I dreaded when I realized he was back in Vermont and living in the town I now called home.

“You and Stacey talk often?”

The smirk on his full lips made me narrow my eyes at him. I hugged myself tighter as my stomach clenched. A tingle down below, that I was not acknowledging, had me pursing my lips. Why did he have to be so goddamn handsome? I was sure women fell all over themselves when he smiled at them like he was smiling at me right now. Especially when that dimple in his left cheek popped, but I wasn’t going to. Delight danced in his hooded light brown eyes. His sharp jawline was sprinkled with hair that looked good on him; it wasn’t a full beard but cut close to his skin. Not that I was looking, or rather, staring.

“Jealous?”

I groaned. “Not even a little, but I do want to have the facts right when I confront her about divulging my location to the enemy.”

He let out a deep laugh. “You’ve always been a bit of a drama queen,” he teased. “Stace and I exchanged numbers the last time we happened to be at the Busy Bean. We’ve only talked a few times.”

“Whatever.” I was done with this conversation and being around him.

I started walking, only for him to fall into step beside me. I let him walk beside me for a few minutes before I couldn’t resist saying something.

“Can I help you?”

“I don’t think so, unless you work at Burlington Records.”

“That’s where you’re going?” I asked.

“Yep.”

Daddy's Sunshine (AirB&D, book 1) by Olivia Joy

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Welcome to the AirB&D! We hope you enjoy your stay.

James Lawrey is a CEO with plenty of cred in corporate circles and plenty of cash to go with it. Privately, though, he’s learned the hard way that it might be impossible to find the one thing he can’t buy--a young man to look after who wants and needs a real Daddy, not just a sugar daddy.

Textile artist Rye Henry’s last relationship went up in flames when his ex told him it was time to grow up. Rye’s got a lucrative business of his own, so he needs a lover who isn’t going to try to change him, a Daddy who wants his true devotion.

Both men drop a pretty penny to experience a few days at the AirB&D, a swanky vacation home in Maine, for a fantasy that’s exactly what they’re looking for. Even if it only lasts one weekend.

But could they get more than their money’s worth?

Of course. Just leave it to the matchmaker.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Daddy's Sunshine is the first book in the AirB&D series by Olivia Joy. A new author, I was delightful surprised by this cute romance.

In essence, Rye and James meet up for a two night Daddy fantasy. Neither expected to find love.

Instantly James sees Rye as "His sunshine." It's just wonderful; completely sweet and heart warming.

This is a short story; just 70 pages. Written in third person pov, the author perfectly develops everything; never leaving the reader feeling like something is missing or needing more.

Daddy's Sunshine is a great choice the next time you're in the mood for a short and sweet romance. Olivia Joy has left me wanting more from this special Air B&D!

Dear Daddy, Please Keep Me (Naughty or Nice #7) by Morticia Knight

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Dear Santa,

For Christmas this year, may I please get my very own Daddy who is looking for a boy to keep? Because I’m a little, I need lots of cuddles and attention. So, a Daddy who can only see me on occasion, or who’s never been a Daddy before, probably won’t want me. Maybe I need two Daddies? I promise I’ll be the bestest boy ever! I pick up my toys, do my chores and take my naps without argument. And since I’m not little all the time, I can also keep my Daddy happy in other ways.

I hope you can find me a Daddy who was meant for me. I haven’t had anyone take care of me in a long time and I’m feeling lost. Santa, I’ve been a very good boy this year, so pretty please can you make my Christmas wish come true?

Love,
Eric

Dear Daddy, Please Keep Me is part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series. From this installment, you can expect a healthy dose of fluff, a large Squishmallow collection, inappropriate peppermint stick usage and two silver fox Daddies. Each book in the Naughty or Nice series can be read as a standalone, but there are so many boys hoping that holiday magic will bring them their perfect Daddy, why not grab them all?

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Dear Daddy, Please Keep Me is Morticia Knight's contribution to the multi-author Naughty or Nice series. Each book is read as a standalone.

This is the story of Eric, Dalton, and Clint. Dalton and Clint are two men who have longed to be together, but don't satisfy each other's needs, as they're both Daddies. Add in a Eric, a little who's open to having two Daddys, and their dreams might work out afterall.

I enjoy how their relationship benefits all three men, as well as helping them in their careers. I adore that Eric needs two daddies to keep him satisfied, and I love the way the Daddies each mesh with Eric. And for Dalton and Clint, finally finding a way to be together is just beautiful.

I love everything about the little time for Eric. It includes binkies, bath time, pullups, and more. It's super sweet. If you enjoy age play, you will appreciate this story. There's definitely a weird moment in there though that threw me off. Little time doesn't get a "time out." I prefer other ways of changing the mood.

And more than anything, their story is hot, with plenty of sex to satisfy.

Dear Daddy, Please Keep Me is a sweet Daddy romance. This Morticia Knight read is a delightful, unique two Daddy romance.

Dear Daddy, Please Trust Me (Naughty or Nice #8) by Rheland Richmond

Dear Santa,

I know I have a lot and I shouldn’t ask for more. But all I want is a Daddy that’s okay being a dad too.
I love my daughter, but I’m still a boy at heart. I know what I’m asking for is hard. Maybe even impossible. But I have to try.

Sebastian is happy with his life, but there’s something missing. A Daddy to call his own. When he goes on a blind date with a Daddy from his app, he never expects the whole thing is a set up. There’s no way this much younger guy is a Daddy, right?

Maddox has skeletons of his own. The last thing he wants is to be a Daddy right now, no matter how much he misses it. How much he craves it. But Sebastian needs guiding and his darling little girl touches a part of his heart he thought was long dead.

Can Sebastian earn Maddox’s trust and get the relationship he’s always wanted?

Dear Daddy, Please Trust Me is part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many boys hoping that holiday magic will bring them their perfect Daddy, why not grab them all?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Dear Daddy, Please Trust Me is a wonderful Daddy kink romance. Part of the multi-author Naughty or Nice series, I love this Rheland Richmond gem!

A little who's looking for a Daddy. Nothing unique there, right? But, omg, the little has a child. As for the Daddy, he's not looking for a little since he was hurt in the past. I love this!!!

Sebastian's a single father. I love how he is with his child, but I love even more that he needs his own daddy. Enter Maddox, who's previously been hurt and wasn't interested in being a Daddy again. Until he meets Sebastian.

I love the layers involved with both men. Both are well developed, flaws and all. Sebastian struggles with his needs, feeling he's too old to be a boy. Maddox is totally fighting his need to be a daddy.  But with Sebastian, everything just meshes. It's fun seeing both men find exactly what they need in the other, all their hesitations.

These men are wonderful together. They each value the other as a person, as well as for their role in their BDSM relationship. The connection between the two just makes their chemistry even better.

Dear Daddy, Please Trust Me is a fabulous Daddy kink read. Rheland Richmond perfectly combines sweet with heat in this one. It's an easy and delightful read.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

I adore high school romances, so I was excited to read Natalie Decker's Dateable.

It follows Keilah as she crushes on a boy, and faces consequences for an app she created. And in the end, she discovers the boy she crushes on isn't the right one for her. I always enjoy a good storyline like this, so it definitely kept my interest.

If you enjoy friends to lovers stories, you will enjoy this one. And if you love a good ex best friends to lovers story, this one is right up your alley.

The writing is good and I like that the main character is a nerd. The storyline is good, full of an enemies to lovers, second chance theme. The teens are well written, with a range of personalities throughout.

Overall, Dateable is a cute young adult read. Natalie Decker will leave you delighted if you're in the mood for an easy read, full of fun and emotions. With this being my first time reading this author, I will definitely be looking into more of her books.

XOXO, Santa by Spencer Spears

Amazon Link   - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

How do you ask your best friend to be your first time?

Blake: What do you do when you realize at age 20 that you might like guys?

If you’re me, you come up with a brilliant and foolproof plan:
Proposition the one gay guy you know to swipe your V-card over winter break.
In my case, that’s my childhood best friend, Henry.

Just one problem—Henry hates my guts.

That’s okay, though, because I’ve got a Plan B:
Download an app, find a guy to hook up with, and figure out once and for all if I’m as gay as my internet search history suggests.

One more little problem—before I can meet the guy I’m messaging online, I have to get through a week’s vacation with Henry and our families.

Henry, who can’t stand me, but who I can’t get out of my head.
Henry, who’s off-limits, but who I maybe kinda sorta kissed last night?
Henry, who’s spending an awful lot of time checking messages on his phone…

XOXO, Santa is a 70,000 word stand-alone gay romance novel with holiday sweetness, first-time steam, and a borderline-unhealthy level of snark. It features jock/nerd, friends-to-lovers, and online love tropes.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

XOXO, Santa is a great enemies to lovers romance by Spencer Spears.

Blake and Henry have a messy past; former best friends whose families are still friends. With some family time together in a cabin, they're forced to spend the holidays together. I always enjoy a good wintertime forced proximity! Add in two men who don't get along, and let the real fun begin.

Henry's always been out, but Blake struggles with his developing sexuality and exploring his gay feelings. Looking for some sexual guidance, as he's finally admitting he's gay, he turns to a dating app. As he forms an online friendship with a stranger, he certainly gets more than he expected.

First, the humor is so damn funny. Seriously, some of the texts are absolutely hysterical. If you enjoy banter, sass, and innuendoes in text form, you'll love this one. If you enjoy dirty baking references, and some messy situations, you will laugh your ass off.

Second, the online friends aspect is well done. There's certainly no surprise, but I enjoy the way it's all executed.

I always enjoy Spencer's writing, and this book is no different. The beginning is a little long winded, but it definitely sets up the situation. Blake's exploration into porn could have been summed up quicker, but don't let that stop you - just keep reading. Trust me. It's honestly just an authentically feeling situation. And from there, the humor starts.

XOXO, Santa is a romance filled with endless banter and sass. Spencer Spears spares no expense in this delightful, sweet tale. This one has a little of everything, with a great mix of enemies to lovers, forced proximity, ex best friends, and online friends. It's definitely a cute story.
