Ghost of Lies (Medium Trouble #1) by Alice Winters

Amazon Link - Available in KU

Hiro
Though I was born with the ability to see the dead, I struggled with it until my brother was killed and his ghost was left behind. Now, I’m determined to figure out who is responsible for his death… the problem is that Detective Maddox Booker, the one working the case, is a grumpy and stubborn man who wants nothing to do with me and definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts. It doesn’t help that I keep finding myself looking ridiculous in front of the detective, thanks to interfering ghosts who enjoy laughing at my expense. Still, the more I’m around Maddox, the more I realize that beneath that surly exterior is a kind and caring man who will do anything to help.

Maddox
When another man dies, I know we have a serial killer on our hands—the same murderer who has remained elusive for a year and a half. To add to my frustration, I keep running into Hiro at crime scenes only to hear him claim that he can talk to ghosts. The words of the dead could lead us to the serial killer and even tell us who is next, but ghosts? There’s no such thing as ghosts. Hiro is determined and charming, and no matter what I do, I can’t stop letting him get involved. He's definitely snagged my attention, but when he nearly winds up dead, I know he's getting closer to the truth—and if I don’t do something soon, he might be next.

Ghost of Lies is full of action, mystery, humor, and romance. Though more is planned for this couple, the mystery is solved and there is a happy ending.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ghost of Lies is the start of the Medium Trouble series. This Alice Winters book is riveting from the start and looks to be the beginning of another fantastic series.

From the start, this book grabbed me, with humor and plenty of charm. Good god, I fell for Hero immediately.

This gem is a romance mixed with a murder mystery, a medium, ghosts, action, danger, and non stop laughs. It's full of hilarious banter and wit. Hero and Maddox are simply hysterical together. But add in Hero's friends and omg, I can't get enough of this story.

The romance is great, with the two slowly falling for each other, and the sarcasm and attraction between them being amazing.

As for the mystery, well damn. The author kept me guessing throughout, with plenty of twists, turns, and surprises.

Let's be honest; there's nothing else quite like an Alice Winters' story. She manages to keep humor throughout, all while getting her characters falling for each other with non stop banter and non stop innuendoes. The storylines are always fast paced and intriguing, keeping you up late into the night.

Ghost of Lies is another stellar book added to Alice Winter's catalog. Just read this one and read all her books if you haven't yet discovered her genius. You won't regret it!

Ghost Detective Jude Byrne is enjoying a night out with friends and family on one of Salem’s famed ghost walks. It’s all fun and games until the last stop of the tour when he comes face to grave with Salem’s resident vampire, Kingston Gamble. The vampire tomb has several safeguards, including a grave cage, meant to keep him resting in peace.

Psychic Copeland Forbes senses a presence he’s never felt before in the old boneyard. Rattled by the experience, he rushes his family home, only to dream about the bloodsucker. Convinced the century-old creature of the night is waking up, Cope is anxious and on high alert.

When Kingston somehow escapes his fortified grave, it’s up to Jude and Cope to find the vampire. Along the way, they meet up with an old friend, Luca Pennington, who knows a thing or two about being Salem’s resident vampire.

Can Jude and Cope stop the vampire and the evil plan surrounding him, or will they become the newest attractions on Salem’s ghost walk?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ghost Walk is another fantastic book in Pandora Pine's Haunted Souls series.

This story starts with the men on a Ghost Walk through Salem which results in another mystery for them to solve.

This is a story with vampires, witches, and magic, entwined with heart, love, and humor. The mystery is fun, with a vampire and the hatred from his family. The mystery is intriguing and well developed throughout.

I can't get enough of Pandora's writing. The writing style is great. Every book, starting way back with Dead Speak, is full of entertaining characters and storylines. The characters are lovable and charming and keep me on my toes. And with each book, and each new related series, the reader is treated to new characters and new developments in the relationships. I can't get enough of Everly, Wolf, and the velociraptors. They add all sorts of fun to the storylines that I never knew I wanted. Or needed. Seeing all the men as fathers is as delightful as can be.

Ghost Walk  is a read-in-one-sitting kind of book. Pandora Pine will keep you riveted throughout this fabulous ghost story and more of the men we've come to love along the way. Basically, you can't go wrong with these books if you like some humor with your mystery.

And if you aren't familiar with my reviews or the author's books, take note that I do not love intense or scary paranormal books. Pandora Pine continues to be a 5 Star read for me with her paranormal light style. All of her books in this, and her other paranormal series, are filled with paranormal elements, loaded with mystery, and always includes danger for the main characters. That said, it is a light feel throughout, never too intense or scary.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

I am not a ghost story fan in general, but The Ghost and Charlie Muir is a great story. Felice Stevens gifts us with a ghost who's friendly and helpful, just wanting to help the men with her agenda.

I love this story and the way the past and the present are combined to create a sweet romance. From the start, I adore Ian and his developing feelings for Charlie. Their story has plenty of confusion and doubts, and a whole lot of hesitation. And a meddling ghost who keeps them on their toes.

Ian's journey is heart-felt, written with care and compassion. His relationship with Charlie is tender and hot, sweet and sexy. I adore the first times and his bisexual exploration.

It's written in alternating third person pov, allowing the reader to understand both men's feelings and emotions. The ghost part of the story leads the development of their relationship. It's tender and sweet, full of true love and romance. She's a ghost that brings the past to the present, in a predictable, yet enjoyable way. I seriously love her and the tricks she uses. If you enjoy historical romances, you will love the "past" part of this story. It's heart-breaking, yet beautiful in the end.

The Ghost and Charlie Muir is a fantastic tale of sexual exploration and sexual awakening. Felice Stevens will leave you satisfied with the ending, as she uses a perfect combination of sweetness, humor, and depth in this tale. It's a riveting, heartfelt romance that contains just the right amount of whimsy.

Felice Stevens has always been a romantic at heart. She believes that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending just around the corner. Her characters have to work for it, however. Like life in NYC, nothing comes easy, and that includes love.

She lives in New York City and has way too much black in her wardrobe yet can't stop buying "just one more pair" of black pants. Felice is a happily addicted Bravo and Say Yes to the Dress addict and proud of it. And let's not get started on House Hunters. Her dream day starts out with iced coffee and ends with Prosecco, because...why shouldn't it? You can find her procrastinating on FB in her reader group, Felice's Breakfast Club.

Ghost detective Jude Byrne is having the time of his life as a new husband and father. Lost in the shuffle of dirty diapers and late-night feedings is Cope’s birthday. Struggling to find a present for his husband, Jude is drawn to an antique, manual typewriter.

Unbeknownst to Jude, psychic Copeland Forbes has been planning to write his memoir. Eager to get started, Cope writes until he falls asleep. He’s woken by the click of the keys and a page full of song lyrics Cope knows he didn’t type.

When the typewriter continues to write, even with no one sitting at the keys, Cope realizes there must be a ghost in the machine. One who only uses hymn lyrics to communicate. Over time, the shy spirit begins to reveal clues to a powerful enemy lurking in Salem.

Will Jude and Cope solve the mystery of the ghost writer or will the evil consume them?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Pandora Pine's Ghost Writer is a stellar addition to her Haunted Souls series.

Having more of Jude and Cope is enough to keep me intrigued. Dear lord, these two are full of banter, humor, and sex. I love every damn moment with them. Their relationship continues to grow and every step of their journey is superb.

This story starts with them and a haunted typewriter. The resulting mystery is fascinating, and went into some serious issues. Let's just say that these serious issues are ones that personally anger me a lot, so I definitely enjoyed this story. The author spares no expense with the emotions involved and does justice to the issue.

I love Jude and Cope, their friends and the kids. Every moment spent with them is fabulous, and this one is a perfect addition to their journey. Their relationship is amazing, and the addition of Wolf just adds a whole new level to their fun.

Ghost Writer is a fantastic story, as are all of the Haunted Souls books. I can't recommend them all enough.

Pandora Pine's Ghost of a Memory is a thrilling addition to her Haunted Souls series.

Jude and Copeland. 'Nuff said, right? But, omg, this one isn't just Jude and Copeland, but also Wolf!

After a vision,
Jude and Copeland travel back to his old Navajo reservation. What follows is another great mystery, a skinwalker, and plenty of danger. Jude has to face his destiny, making for a riveting storyline. Jude's background, and everything leading to where he is now is a highly enjoyable read. It certainly all helps add to Jude's development in an unforgettable way.

As if I didn't already love Jude and Copeland enough, now we get to read about them becoming parents. And it's everything I could have asked for. And, omg, how I love the way the Pandora adds the babies into her books.

The author does an excellent job making the Navajo culture come alive for the reader. We get to learn about the tribe, myths, and legends. As always, the writing is non-stop, combining mystery, danger, romance, and humor in a fantastic manner.

The scenery and land is brought to life for the reader, easily placing everyone there in the setting.

Overall, Ghost of a Memory is sure to delight all of Pandora Pine's fans. She gives us another good mystery while also adding more layers to Jude and Copeland, individually and as a couple. I couldn't ask for more.

Ghost of a Chance (Haunted Souls #5) by Pandora Pine

Blurb

Psychic Copeland Forbes can’t get a good night’s sleep. His dreams are being haunted by two restless spirits, one crying out for his help and, the other bent on destroying him. Only able to communicate through dreams, the anguished spirit gives Cope just enough information to send him running back home to New Orleans to solve the mystery.

Ghost Detective Jude Byrne is against Cope going back to The Big Easy. It was trouble as long as the Mississippi that sent Copeland fleeing New Orleans in the first place but, if Cope insists on going, Jude is going to. To make the mission as safe as possible, Jude puts together a team of psychics, warlocks, and detectives he’s hoping are strong enough to keep everyone, namely Cope, safe.

When the spirits’ identities are revealed, tragedy strikes a member of the ghost detective team. Will help arrive in time or will they be left with only the ghost of a chance?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ghost of a Chance is another fabulous book by Pandora Pine. The fourth book in her Haunted Souls series, it is wonderful.

It has everything I've come to expect in a Pandora Pine book; mystery, danger, love, and fantastic humor. It also includes a sick and twisted psychologic game. This time, however, the action starts immediately, as Cope is having horrific nightmares.

If you have yet to try a Pandora Pine book, you need to start now. Her books are unlike most of what I read. Though I normally shy away from paranormal stories, these books have me addicted hook, line, and sinker.

The author's writing style is superb, and the flow is perfect. As for the characters, they aren't just amazing, they are like family by now.

Ghost of a Chance is a marvelous addition to this series. It's intense and scary with a whole lot of emotion. I can't get enough of this series.

Ghost House (Haunted Souls #4) by Pandora Pine

Blurb

Be careful what you witch for…

Ghost Detective Jude Byrne is missing the excitement of the high-profile investigations he and his partner have been handling. Every time the bell jingles over the shop door, he finds himself hoping it’s their next big case. Jude gets his wish and then some when Anson Hollister, curator of the Salem Witch House, walks into West Side Magick with a frightening story to tell. He’s been visited by the spirit of Thatcher Webb, the judge who’d presided over the Salem Witch Trials, sentencing nineteen innocent women to hang.

Psychic Copeland Forbes is enjoying the slower pace of life with Jude. Back from vacation and settled into their new house, he’s content working cases that don’t make him want to sleep with the lights on. Agreeing to take Anson’s case, Cope becomes violently ill on a trip to investigate The Witch House, making him fear there is something more sinister involved rather than the simple haunting Anson described.

With no sign of Thatcher Webb’s spirit, the investigation is at a near standstill, until warlock Callum Churchill, who’s ancestor, Abigail, was one of Thatcher Webb’s victims, disappears on a visit to The Witch House. Can Jude and Cope find the missing witch and put a stop to the diabolical goings on or will they become the next spirits haunting the ghost house?

Pandora Pine's Ghost House is another outstanding book in her Haunted Souls series.

With a riveting storyline, compelling characters, and non-stop action, this is classic Pandora Pine. And don't forget the humor!

I love everything about this book. I love Jude and the entire cast of characters. This charming, yet terrifying world is amazing and continues to impress me with the continued growth of the characters, their continued experiences, and the romantic feel of each book. I am in awe of Pandora Pine's ability to constantly improve upon her own stories.

I feel like these men are family, with each book being an enjoyable time spent with those I love. Jude and Cope, who I loved from the start, have burrowed even further into my heart. Their relationship is stronger than ever and the look into their future warms my heart. OMG, the scenes with Wolf are amazing. Absolutely amazing!

As for the action, it all takes place when Jude is bored and looks into the creepy events taking place at the ghost house. As usual, the mystery is well developed, full of twists and turns, and will keep the reader on the edge of their seat throughout.

I can't get enough of these Pandora Pine books, and Ghost House is as great as it gets. If you're a fan of this series, you will love this book. If you haven't read any of them yet, what are you waiting for?
