Promise, the third book in RJ Scott's Single Dads series, is a heart-wrenching tale of doing everything possible to protect one's child.
Leo's a cop who's always longed to have a family of his own. A kiss with the handsome Jason soon changes everything for him, leading him to the family of which he wants to be a part.
This is an amazing romance between a cop and an ex-con; two men who have no business being together. Their story involves dealing with danger, greed, and more.
Jason will do everything he can do protect his daughter. Not being able to trust people, he struggles to let Leo into their lives. The connection and attraction is there, but trust is the big issue for Jason. This part is so well written.
Little Daisy is adorable and her background is tragic. If you like kids, you will absolutely fall in love with Daisy.
The writing is superb, with fantastic complex main characters, a great storyline, and a whole lot of heart. As an avid fan of RJ Scott, I am not surprised about falling in love with Promise. It's a tender tale, full of heart, romance, and love. And the ending is amazing!!!
